GroyneTech, Split valve consists of two parts, called as “Active Port” & “Passive Port”. Once the two ports are docked together, the respective flap comes closer to each other forming a “single flap”, here both "Non-Sterile" portions of flaps are sealed & the system is opened to permit transfer of compound from one container to another.

Once the transfer is complete; the unit is closed either manually or by actuator and the both the flaps can be separated again.
Here the "Non Sterile" portion of flaps now exposed to atmosphere which were never exposed to the compound during transfer & the sterile portion of flaps are exposed towards the compound. This Technology over comes the need of "Full Air Suit" application required for transfer of high potency drug with a dedicated room for dedicated operation.
